Ketan Mehta, director of Mangal Pandey - The Rising (see previous post), in an interview declared tht he is planning a movie on Rani Laxmibai, another historical figure from the same era. I think he is definitely planning to rewrite history as per his discretion. The role of the brave Rani Laxmibai will be played by Aishwarya Rai. Hmm... tht is one reason to go to the theatre.. ;)

Well if there is softcore porn in it my dad would go on and on about how Indian movies are getting dirtier and dirtier. That's his favorite subject now. Funny thing is, he watches even more of them now. :p And Ash is both his and my brother's fav. actress so I'll probably end up seeing it too.
More than the porn the hype created by Mangal Pandey was the reason ppl going to the theatres in hordes. Yesterday's news were showing the earnings of Mangal Pandey...i don't remember the figures but it has recovered all the cost .. n tht too just from US n UK.

My family's from Pakistan. I lived there til I was 3. We get a satelite package that gives us Pakistani and Indian channels.
