Damn the Shiv Sena!!

If u read my post on the Shiv Sena ppl then look at this one. Recently a gal was raped by a drunk cop in a police stn. n the Shiv Sainiks say tht the gal deserved it. Total bullshit.. I m joining the excerpts of a letter frm today's "The Indian Express":

I find the comment in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna an insult to all women (‘Sena wisdom on rape: girls are asking for it’, IE, April 26). Instead of condemning the criminal, they are implying that the victim deserved to be raped. Do they even understand what this crime is? It’s our fault in many ways, to make sense out of the talk of senseless people who want to turn Mumbai into an eighteenth century fiefdom of their own. It is because of such regressive ideology that repressed men think they can get away with openly voicing such thoughts. Someone should explain to these Shiv Sena men what democracy is.

Clutching Death!!

Visited the Cancer Unit of a nearby hospital in my lunch break. My grnpa's frnd is admitted there coz he is having a tumour in his mouth. The plight of the patients n their family members' was unbearable. Imagine having a few days or months left of ur life ... n going thro' the medication n the therapies.. it's so difficult. Saw a woman, must be in her late 20s', sobbing heavily in her husband's arms n writhing in pain. She must b having a brain tumour coz the rear portion of her head was all stitched up. I met the old gentleman, wished him a happy n healthy recovery n fled from the scene.

The recent advertisement of TATA Indicom featuring Ganguly is such a dumb one. He doesnt even fit tht role... man why does Ganguly seem to be surfacing everywhere... :-# ... Talking more about ads the Amir Khan's Coca Cola one is such a gr8 ad. The accent is perfectly taken up n the gal in the ad is so cute. She was also in the Lucky Ali video. Does neone know her name??? ... ciao .. gtg to work..

On "MORAL" grounds???

These Shiv Sainiks n PPS have nothing else to do except than harassing ppl saying they r the moral police of this modern society. The burning of movie posters, issuing legal notices to actors or creating menace on Valentines Day has become a routine n the shittest, if i can use tht word, part is tht the govt. is also supporting them. The dance bars for example is a very famous haven for these ppl yet to extort money actions like banning them are taken. I saw a huge hoarding put up by PPS depicting some pics of guys suffering frm mouth cancer due to heavy intake of tobacco. Thts good; but when elections approach this same group offers the low income grp ppl tobacco, spurious liqour n money to do bogus voting. Oh gosh if we could do something...

Beat the Heat

Nothing seems wonderful than getting drenched in the rain after a horrible heat wave. It had become really difficult to come out on the road even for a while in the hot conditions. But, yesterday's rain changed tht n it's now very pleasant here. I feel like going on a long drive or play a game of football or rugby on the wet ground... :) ....

Operation Beggar!

A few days ago there was an article tht giving alms to beggars would now b considered as an offence. The 'generous donor' will have to face legal hassles. My mom n I were discussing this n she told me this incident which took place when she was in 4th grade. A similar move had been initiated by the then govt. n they had named it "Operation Beggar". So, the school had put an essay on it in the exam ppr. (wht da hell for the young kids)with the title as 'Operation Beggar'. One of my mom's frnd wasn't aware of the real thing n she wrote how some doctors caught hold of a beggar n operated upon him forcibly...lol
