Something else..

First of all are the ppl I know who are in Mumbai safe? From my blogroll I can see tht Divya, Vaibhav, Raj, Puneet, Prasanna, Nessa, Pinky, Aditi n Kalpz r frm Mumbai. Some of u have confirmed of being safe. Others I hope are safe. I don’t have their mail ids/phone nos. so can’t contact them but will pray for their safety alongwith their families. Yesterday not only Mumbai suffered blasts but there were also 5 explosions in J&K. Till a few years back militants never targeted civilians n tourists ppl but they attacked the army forces, but since last year common man has become their target. Can we do something to curb this? Terrorism is a menace to the whole world n let us pray tht God puts some sense in the heads of those bastards. Why cant they go home n lead a peaceful life.

Death is wht we all have to face someday but such deaths r really sad. We just cant imagine the trauma of a housewife who was expecting her husband home n gets the news of his death. We can’t feel the pain of a brother sitting near the dead body of his sister in a hospital after identifying her body frm the remains.
Gangadhar had said in one of his posts tht all bloggers have become a family. In my early blogging days I met a few wonderful human beings but one fine morning they deleted their blogs (see the striked names) n I was like now wht? Find a new family member? We meet many ppl online in chat rooms but we do not connect with everyone there. But here, atleast I feel a strong bond within bloggers with whom u almost live ur life day by day. This also reminds me tht though I share the same bond with all, I have contact with just 3-4 ppl frm blogger outside the blogsville. If at all something happens to me noone will know where I have vanished. My family doesn’t know ‘bout this blog so neither they will be able to update this space why I have gone away frm all such wonderful ppl here. I think this same fear can be related to the fear in the minds of ppl living under the threat of terrorism. They just don’t now which will be the last moment they spent with their loved ones. Wishing this fear goes away... tht too very soon.

This is the first time I just couldn’t write wht I had planned to write yesterday morning. That is why the title of the post reads like tht. Most of the day was spent in replacing the header u can see up there. Thnx a lot to Parag for making tht beautiful image for me. I had jokingly asked him to create one for me after seeing his blog header and one day he mailed me two headers. Now if you want a header created for ur blog u will have to take the appropriate channel, i.e., me coz now we have started a header business. For many hours I tried replacing it but it just didn’t show up on the blog and thts when Deepa helped to sort it out. Actually, since the pics are blocked here I wasn’t able to see the new header. But, sincere thnx to both of you. Sorry Parag coz I wanted to write a full post on this but most of the post space was taken up in venting against some fuckers who don’t deserve a place in this world.

We too want to share this oppourtunity to slam these type of acts.
Me to was a bit too scared and wished to know whats happening.
But people cut off phone lines and everything was in mess.

This was an important post Sudeep. What happened in your country is tramatic, and unfortunately, it isn't huge news here. It's front page, but it's not as well covered as say the London bombings. So when you and Vaibhav for example give news/opinions on it, it is a welcome read to those of us who are unfortunately not as well informed as we would like to be.

Your point about people leaving their blogs-never to be heard from again is interesting. What would happen if we just didn't update our blogs anymore. No one would know why. That would be sad. The day will come eventually though.

i hope your friends are alright. when this kind of things happen it's very hard to contact ppl. i remembered the 9/11 incident where i couldn't contact my friends! and in london...i had problems with that too. forms of communication are cut-off. and the recent incident in indonesia. i was able to contact my bestfriend.

anyways, i don't know what is going on in mumbai. the world is no longer safe. so remember don't take things for granted.

KKalpz I hope u realise how bad evil is now. Whether they r thought, words or deeds, EVIL is EVIL. And the way u treated me in blogs is no better than the terrorists' acts. Now evil is right in front of ur eyes - I hope u dun take ppl's feelings so casually in future.

Sudeep aint I glad u r 200kms away from all of that chaos. Imagine those loved-ones' feelings of never seeing their husband's, child's, mother's face again?? I dun have words.

Ur right - bloggers have become like family now. We r a very close bunch now. It's so hard if I spend a day w.o. talking to u guys - it's that pathetic lol! I wrote a post abt TOMORROW a while back and didnt post it yet - only cos I didnt feel it was the time to post it, dunno why. But after the Mumbai blasts, that post gave me goosebumps. It was so apt for the situation and the emotions we go thru when such a thing happens. But I'd post it some other day.

If something happens to me, no one in the blog world wud know..cos none of my family/friends have access to my blog to let anyone know. Few of u who know my email/phone # will get tired after leaving msgs and it too will stop some day. Thats what happened with Janice.

U tc ok HUGGGGGGGGZ!
Keshi.

I know of a few people who just got saved..coz they took a train before or after the ones which had the bomb and it almost gave me a shiver listening to them!
Hope there is some justice and these people are punished if not by us then atleast by god!

Yea I have often wondered whether someone would inform the blog world. I guess I assume my sister will (since she blogs and reads my blog)
As for Kashmir, I think you might be mistaken, the tourism came to a standstill once they began targetting the tourists. I remember those foreign tourists that got kidnapped in the nineties? So its only a matter of time before the started up again isnt it.

yadda yadda yadda Kkalpz we still know who u r..

one more thing Kkalpz:

**coz for ppl like u its hard to admit they were wrg.

proves who u r hehe.

Btw u stood well for cyber-terrorism and identity theft on the net, and there's cyber law too. Dun ever forget that. Good luck and I wont bother bothering ppl like u again anyways. Cos if there was anyone who was majorly bothered, it was YOU.

No more from me.
Keshi.

I tried to write what i felt...but it's not easy. Words can't describe every emotion and least of all pain...but i tried to put across what i felt in my post...

and this hurt bad...hurt worse watching it helplessly on tv...

u know first thing toh nuthin's gonna happen to u...ummm..i mean nuthin bad *touchwood*...m superstitious baba...apne baare mei bura socho bhi mat kabhi!! plz...

and if i don see a post here or an update in commentz...every week, i will take that flight (even if its not cheap!! uff bad joke sorryyy) but i will take that flight and check on you..

and probably would do the best i can to check on all the people who matter here...and so many do...

I for one have told ppl close to me that if (and i don like sayin this) anything were to happen to me, they shud put a note in my blog...sumthin to the effect of "here ends her walk!"...damn but m not joking at all, i'll write my own obituary...and suchi will be there to tell everyone...

*sigh*...

There is this sinking feeling in my heart that this problem of terrorism will never get solved.. For the first time in my life optimism has deserted me. Please God I hope i'm proved wrong !

In all honesty, if it doesn't happen here, or somewhere close to here, people don't really care. Sad but true.

..yeah, i was terrified too when i've found out that blasts in Mumbai, the first thing i had in my mind was..hey i have few friends there?and i started panicking and hurriedly picked up my mobile and searched for contact nos. of them, but sad thing is i have only puneet's no. and 2 others and the rest are only email id's ..damn!! i started to call the 3 but can't connect...and that was till next morning... Goshh! i felt helpless coz all my emails too have no replies.I just want to know if they're ok...and again i started to call puneet and luckily he's heading for office that morning and got the call...i was so relieved to hear him and asked... hey u ok yaar? he answered, yeah, im ok kathy and also my family..ahh Thank God!So thankful feelin' i had that moment but still i know lots of people are in pain for their lost families and i can feel that pain too.Till now i dun know the whereabouts of my other friends..hope they are safe.

Hola, I am fine.. and I'm glad you are too.. A family friend found her husband dead in the Jogeshwari blast the following morning.. It was terrible.. And to think that I was irritated about the traffic jam.. I feel so selfish now..

About the header, it's really cool.. How do you have moving text on it? I wantsss it too *hiss*!

Well, looks like nothing happened. Everything is normal - very normal. Life is good. It's no use worrying about death, when you're always in the shadow of death. Always.

it's just timing. This time it was someone else. Tomorrow it might be me. No regrets though.

hey !

u know what ? i am seriously not worried abt my dying ... but i am scared of my smthg happ to my folks ... i told u abt the last month incident , na ? after that every min , i worried that i'd get a phone call from home / friends giving me bad news ...

the fear of living under such a threat .. my God .. is awful .... and i'm saying that coz i experienced it ... i dont think i'll ever get out of it ...
