O(o)C post

EDITED** Scroll down

My parents will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this month. Please suggest me some gift for them. Earlier my cousins n myself were planning to do something big tht day, but unfortunately it coincides with a festival n ppl here have a fast tht day. Don’t know wht we will be doing now.

Out of Context:
Why do clients have to visit the office? Can’t they sit in their own office comfortably n call me abroad instead. Tht would be better :)))

More Out of Context:
Mr. Shekhar Suman, tell the writers of ur show tht the Prez delivers speech on Republic Day n not the Prime Minister.

Totally Out of Context:
Anybody has a cannon? I need it to blow Moin Khan’s ass apart. If not the boom of the cannon, atleast today’s defeat will silence him.
Has anybody noticed tht the names of cricket boards of countries start with the name of the country. Australian Cricket Board (ACB), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) n even the minnows Bangladesh have Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In India it is, Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). Tht means board comes first n then the country.

Totally Totally Out of Context:
I was feeling like Amitabh Bacchan or Abhishek Bacchan today coz Mallika ran for me. God save the Bacchans’.

EDIT: Wish u a very HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. Luv u all.

2nd EDIT: Probably I wasn't clear in the post.. so editing it. The 25th anniversary is on 26th Feb.. so i will save all ur wishes' till then. For newcomers, my dad has been transferred to another city... so he will be taking a weeks leave n will come home by 25th. Both mom n dad wont like the concept of spending time alone.. i mean celebrating alone .. dont ask why.. i know them better :) I was thinking tht instead of sending them out on vacation, I would go out n leave them for some quality time to themselves n also ask them to sponsor my vacn.. he he.. juss kidding. Whenevr dad is in town, our house is flocked by relatives n so it will be the same .. n a bit more this time.... so the idea of only two of them has to be dropped. Now put on ur thinking caps again....

Sudeep, these rants seem rather random . I like it.

Maybe you should get them a few nights in a nice hotel. It doesn't have to be far away, just a nice hotel where they can get out of the house, not have to worry about cooking or cleaning for a while, and just relax.

I think the best think ou could do for your parents is to send em off away from family and friends so that they can spend a few days together with no one disturbing them. A luxury cruise is a good idea if u are planning something big.

ideas:

1) go to the studio and take a family picture

2) buy them dinner at the favorite restaurant. but you can't join them.

3) compile their pictures from the past 25 yrs....so, to remind themselves how they once fell in love and still stay connected

happy 25 to your parents :) happy valentine's day to you...*KISSES*

my parents didn't do anything special on their anniversary. my parents have to warn not to do anything for them. GEES! wonder why they did that? was i trying too hard to get them to tango?

Sudeep said...

@Elaine: ha ha.. didnt think of tht earlier... okie.. then will go with tht idea..lol

buy them a brief long weekend holiday somewhere.

AnonymousBlogger said...

Well now I'm not so sure what you should do. Maybe throw them a party, and invite all the relatives and friends over? But if the family is going to drop by regardless, than a party maybe isn't the best idea.

Dinner for two at a fancy resturant? I'll keep thinking...

get ur mom an awesome saree ( if she wears them ) , and a book for ur dad ( if he reads )

else get them each a perfume of their fav choice ( if they use perfume i.e. )

Dalicia said...

deepa: the perfume, will kick into their sexual senses!! i think with his parents. better stick with aromotheraphy...don't u think so?

sudeep: please arrange accordingly!
luckily, you have a smart friend...ehheeh

Man if I was u (I mean in a job) I would have given my parents a pair ot Titan watch along with a Ganpati painting/idol.

y don't you plan a surprise party for them??(tell d relatives not to show up before d party maybe...) invite all the ppl whom they had invited on thir actual weddin day...make it a grand affair...re-create their weddin day for them!!!
have their fav food and fav ppl around...they'll like it better than having to go some place alone...they can do tht any other day too!!!

as for d gift...I think you can present them their brand new bahu:);)
